About the Shop

What are your hours? Monday & Tuesday - By Appointment Only Wednesday & Thursday - 11:00-7:00 Friday - 11:00-5:00 Saturday - 10:00-4:00 Sunday - Closed

Where are you located? We're at 123 Bellefonte Ave in Lock Haven, PA. Our building is right where Bellefonte Ave and First St split so we have entrances on both sides. You'll likely find more parking available on the First St side of the building.

Are appointments required? Great question! While appointments are never a requirement, we do encourage you to make an appointment. You are always welcome to stop in when our doors are open but we are one bride at a time shop and if we are with a bride when you arrive we will not be able to help you. If we are in a premium appointment you will not be able to enter the bridal area of our shop. We truly want you to have the most enjoyable experience possible. You can always call the shop ahead of time to check on the status as well!

About Appointments

How far in advance should I book my appointment? We recommend booking as far in advance as possible, ideally three weeks. We require at least 72 hours. Since we only schedule one appointment at a time, the sooner you book, the better chance you have of securing the date and time that works best for you.

What should I bring with me? The only thing you need to bring is an open mind! You may be wondering about shoes and undergarments... No shoes, just socks or barefoot, unless you already know the exact shoes you'll be wearing on the big day. Wearing no bra or pasties is the best option. If you aren't comfortable with that, wearing a nude sticky bra with light padding is second best. You do not need to wear shape wear, but you definitely can if it will make you feel more comfortable. (*Underwear are required.)

Why do you charge for some of your appointments? We are a very small shop with limited staff and we want to ensure that everyone who wants to try on gowns has an equal opportunity to do so. By charging a small, non-refundable booking fee we limit no show appointments. Once a time slot is booked by one person it is no longer available to anyone else. If you say yes to a dress on the day of your appointment, your booking fee is applied to your purchase so it really is a win-win!

What about groomsmen who live in another state? Don't worry! It's easy for them to get measured and submit their measurements. We'll supply you with a link to the measurement form they need to have filled out when they get measured in their hometown. We do highly suggest they are measured at a Sarno and Son fitting location or by a professional tailor as tuxedo fitting is important.

About the Gowns

When should I start shopping for my wedding dress? Ideally 8-12 months before your wedding date. It can take up to 7 months for your gown to arrive. We suggest a timeline of 3 months for alterations leading up to to your wedding date. Some designers will accommodate tight deadlines, but it's always best to play it safe; aka - let's not add tight deadlines to an already anxiety inducing day. Know what we mean? Make sure to know your venue/date before your gown appointment. This is necessary to know your timeline, weather and vibe!

If I see a gown I love somewhere else, can you get it for me? That depends! If the gown is by one of the designers we carry, absolutely! Even if we don't have the sample in our showroom, we can typically borrow one from the manufacturer for you to try on, we just need some time to get it in. If we don't carry the particular designer, we can always try to find something similar from one of the lines we do carry and bring a sample in for you to try. We love inspo pics! They help us prepare for your appointment!

I wear a size 10 in jeans, why is my dress a size 14? Bridal and formal wear sizing is just like that! You'll find with most designers (not all) that your bridal size is two sizes larger than your normal size. That's why it is so important to get measured and allow us to order the correct size based upon that designers size guide. Your measurements are your true size! The number on the dress is just that...a number!

I'm curvy. Will I find anything at your shop? Of course you will! We have a large selection of gowns that span sizes 00-32W! No matter your size or shape, we've got something for you. *It is important to note that sample gowns are just that - samples. They are not meant to "fit" every body size and type perfectly. As bridal stylists, we have tricks to make gowns look like they fit even if they don't so that you can see what they will look like when ordered in your correct size.

What if I need alterations? While we do not have an in-house seamstress, we do have a list of seamstresses that we can provide for you to contact. All alterations will be third-party.
